Bermondsey Antique Market is one of the oldest and most storied antique markets. Located in Bermondsey Square every Friday, it is a cornerstone of the city’s antiques trade. Open to early risers at 6am and closing by 2pm. Arrive early to spot the best finds.

The Bermondsey Square Antiques Market is a treasure trove of fascinating finds and timeless curiosities. Every Friday, traders set up stalls offering an eclectic mix of antiques and collectibles—ranging from silverware, china, and vintage furniture to glassware, jewellery, and unique oddities.
A delight to explore, the market attracts antique dealers, curious tourists, and savvy bargain hunters alike. Many of the traders are seasoned experts who have been a part of Bermondsey Square’s vibrant scene for years, adding depth and character to every stall and story.
Fun fact: Historically, Bermondsey Market operated under the “market overt” law, allowing goods sold between sunrise and sunset to be considered legally owned by the buyer, even if stolen. This law was abolished in 1995.

“I love this little market, it’s a hidden gem in London and full of wonders. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I like to go to the indoor part, to the very end, where Rebecca’s stall is, with her amazing chinas, one of the best selections you can find in London. Today I bought some plates and Rebecca was so nice, helpful and very knowledgeable, going back next week for sure. Plus, the area around is great for a nice day out with nearby Bermondsey Street, London Bridge, Borough Market and so on you won’t get bored!”
