Opening Night: Thursday 2nd October, 18:00 – 19:30 at Forma, 15 Bermondsey Square, London, SE1 3UN
Everyone is welcome to the opening night or visit the exhibition at your leisure.
Forma presents a new exhibition by interdisciplinary artists Hannan Jones and Shamica Ruddock, marking the first time their sound-based practice is translated into sculptural form.
The new exhibition, ‘Strike | the mark feeds the score | surface as notation’ has been crafted from materials sourced across the UK, Australia, and the Caribbean – including Bermondsey-shaped metal, Dartmoor hide, and Jarrah wood – the sculptures reflect the artists’ personal geographies and cultural histories. The result is a resonant, multi-sensory experience that invites viewers to consider how sound and history live within material.
