Following their autumn residency at FormaHQ, Artists Gaia Di Lorenzo and Francesca Pionati return to Forma with “my tongue in my friend’s mouth” a new site-specific commission and their first exhibition as a duo.
Responding directly to the gallery’s architecture, the artists experiment with layering, transforming the space into a dynamic interplay of material to explore how emotional, architectural, social frameworks can both sustain and estrange us. Di Lorenzo’s and Pionati’s works meet in this space of rupture, examining how absence, when made visible, can become a site of shared inquiry.
Through new glass sculpture, miniatures, and layered installation, the artists’ attend to the marks left behind by loss or displacement, exploring how collectively we navigate social transformation and uncertainty.
Join us to celebrate the launch at Forma, 15 Bermondsey Square, on Thursday 5 June, 6-9pm!
All welcome
